The tune is Unser Herrscher by Joachim Neander! Lots of hymns have alternate lyrics depending on denomination—Praise to the Man’s tune was originally Scotland the Brave! Most hymns have always been hymns in one form or another, but it’s still fun to trace the paths they take.
